Rwnd is local‑first. The free app has no account, no sign‑up, and no server holding your viewing history. What you log stays on your device.

What Rwnd stores on your device

Your watches, ratings, the titles and people you’ve looked at, the copies you own, and your settings are saved in local storage on your phone. None of it is transmitted anywhere unless you turn on Backup.

What Rwnd does not do

• No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or third‑party trackers.
• No selling or sharing of personal information.
• No location, contacts, photos, or microphone access.
• No account or email address required to use the free app.

TMDB

When you search for a film or open a title, Rwnd requests that title’s information from TMDB (The Movie Database). Those requests carry the search text and title identifiers, along with the ordinary network information any web request includes. Rwnd does not send TMDB anything about you, your ratings, or what you own. TMDB’s handling of requests is governed by their privacy policy.

Where Rwnd shows rent or buy availability for a title you don’t own, that data is provided by JustWatch through TMDB.

Backup (optional, paid)

If you choose to purchase Backup, Rwnd creates an account with an email address and password so your library can be restored on another device. In that case:

• Your email address is stored to identify your account and let you sign back in.
• Your library — watches, ratings, and owned copies — is stored so it can be restored.
• Authentication and storage are handled by Google Firebase. Your data is kept under your account and is not readable by other users.
• Your email is used only for sign‑in and account recovery. Rwnd does not send marketing email.

Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play. Rwnd never sees or stores your payment details.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your device. If you have a Backup account, you can delete it and its stored library from within the app, which permanently removes it from our systems.

Children

Rwnd is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, the updated date above will change and the app will note it.
